The Point
• Safety is all about preventing injuries and accidents from ever happening
by eliminating or reducing hazards and by mitigating risk to life and property.
• The easiest recovery is an emergency that never happens.
• Security is being situationally aware of the risks that are beyond your direct control
and knowing what to do to minimize and deter outside threats,
• and also how to act when confronted with a threatening situation.
• Knowing what to do to increase your safety and security
will help you and your family "Be Ready" before, during, and after emergencies.
